With polls open until 10pm tonight, don't forget to vote in today's crucial local and European elections. The Liberal Democrats are fighting to win seats in urban and rural areas across the Borough in the important elections for the new unitary Bedford Borough Council, which faces the task of turning around many years of high-taxing Tory failure on the County Council. Meanwhile, the issues the Lib Dems have been fighting on in the European elections include action to tackle cross-border crime and terrorism and climate change. Make your vote count in today's two vital elections!

Elections to the new unitary Bedford Borough Council and for the Eastern Region's seven MEPs are taking place, and the Liberal Democrats are pressing for success by fighting on the issues that matter to local residents. Polls are open between 7am and 10pm tomorrow.

We have therefore identified "Six to Fix" priority areas where action is needed to help create a Borough of opportunity that is a great place to live, work, study, visit and do business. We have featured each of the Six to Fix priority areas in turn here on bedfordlibdems.org.uk over the last six weeks.
